djjewelz, i haven’t been here since Bourdain – maybe once to take some friends. if i remember correctly, the soup has a sour, pungent kick still? if bourdain would come back to LA again for TBN, I might take him to Pa Ord instead. I like it for its balanced taste.

Wandering Chopsticks – Fair point. I’m just referencing noodles in this case, but I will be scarfing down a BBH very soon, not that it’s an apples to apples comparison by any means.

bagnatic – I had TBN the same day I had the Double Down. The TBN might’ve been salty, but any memory of it was wiped out by KFC.

i must be the only person on this earth that thought the sapp boat noodles were too salty. maybe i need to go back and give it another try.

You can’t compare Thai boat noodles to Vietnamese pho, totally different broths. A better comparison is with bun bo Hue since there’s blood cubes, salty shrimp paste and lemongrass broth, spiciness, pig’s feet.
